The Staff were so friendly!
The plates and utensils were all plastic! Very environmentally unfriendly. No recycling containers, either, so everything wound up in the trash. For a hotel like this I'd expect a bit more awareness.

Food was great.. I don't like the eggs at any hotels that offer breakfast but everything else was good. They had sausage patties one morning and ham another morning and one morning had sausage links. The staff and room was wonderful.
One mornings there was a young couple that was all cuddled up in one of the areas with a blanket around them.. Didn't understand why they came down to breakfast instead of staying in the room. The next morning the young man who was quite big had loads of food on his plate and when my friend went into the area where the food was just about everything had to be replaced and the young girl slept on the couch. Kind of weird!

The bed was great and for being a continental breakfast, it was good and had nice options (make your own waffles, salsa eggs, French toast sticks, cereal). Also they have coffee and creamer available in the lobby all the time.

Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Staff at check-in were less than friendly. I made room reservations for three couples but they said they couldn't allow each of us to pay for our own room. Had to be paid all together with the card used to hold the reservation. Could not pay cash! If I wanted it on my charge card I would have paid that way in the first place! Now I have all three rooms on my card! Blamed everything on Booked.net.

My room was clean.
The window was so incredibly noisy and drafty. I truly believed the window was open but to my amazement, it was as far in the closed position as possible. The room was freezing!!!!!!!!! I tried turning the heat up to 75* to try and warm up but the hotel has a shutoff lock at 74*. I'm sorry, that's not truly an independently climate controlled room if you have limited control . Also, if you're a coffee lover, it's sad....not one cup of gourmet coffee in the entire hotel, arrrrrg.

Comfortable bed, attractive lighting in room (vs the usual bleak fluorescents in many hotels in this price range), solid breakfast including hot oatmeal and berries for breakfast every morning, 'robust' coffee better than most in the area. Frig in room also convenient. Staff friendly and accommodating, except for the Booked.net item noted above.
Not very Booked.net friendly. Would not change credit card being used for room charge and would not give printed receipt - said only Booked.net could do those things. Obviously, they are trying to get guests to book directly.

Carol (I think) who was the receptionist. She was lovely and very busy.
Could not get on the internet despite the instructions and 800 number. I have a new MacBook computer too and my friend had an I Pad - we always get on at other places....but awkward what it takes at the Hampton.

Good value for a quick stay
We stayed for one night and it was a solid choice! The room was comfy and clean. The staff was super friendly. The location's handy for food spots nearby which was a plus! Only thing is the walls seemed thin-could hear the traffic outside, but overall it met our needs.

Loved pool area and hot beverages
They didn't tell us anything about breakfast when we checked in so we missed it! But they saved us a muffin and apple

mixed feelings about my stay
The young desk clerk's effort to resolve issues stood out, reflecting a commitment to service. The room was clean, contributing positively to our overall comfort.
The lack of tall toilets was disappointing for seniors.

I had a mix up with what I thought I had reserved and what I actually did. Kayla was the person at the front desk when we checked in and when I came back down to tell her my mistake she saved me! She was able to put me in a different room to meet our needs. She was wonderful and every staff member we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very nice. I would definitely stay there again.
